My name is Marten B. Scheuck. I am pursuing my PhD in Astronomy at the Max-Planck-Institute for Astronomy (MPIA).

# Research Interests

I study protoplanetary discs using the MATISSE instrument. The inner regions of the discs (i.e. from <1 au up to a few astronomical units), where terrestrial planet-formation is likely to occur, are of particular interest to me. The aim of my research is to understand the structure and composition of these regions. This is done by analysising interferometric data over multiple wavelength bands (H, K, L, M, and N) via Bayesian model-fitting using (simple) radiative transfer codes (e.g. analytic temperature-gradient models).
